Quote:
While I strive to be as natural as possible with all the products and ingredients, it is important to me to establish a line of styling products that really work well. I have used as many natural ingredients as possible while retaining the effectiveness of each product in my line.
Jules is already getting ready for her next debut appearance at the pre-Oscars Style Lounge in Hollywood. February 20 – 22nd 2011.
After being approached by Fatima to talk about showcasing some of her work on my blog, I had a look at her creations and thought it would be really nice to show you some of her new floral hair pieces, all are perfect for parties, weddings or just everyday wear – enjoy these accessories made by a talented passionate artist from Ohio.
First a few words from Fatima:

Growing up, my father decided to pursue a family run program for the improvement of our low-income neighborhood. Alone, my family and I turned the urban slum into a paradise. It was then, 7 years ago, that I found an attraction for natural beauty and have grown to connect with our Mother Nature in all ways possible. In mid-December, my father passed, but his vision and dream of hope lives through my flowers. Be beautiful naturally, let positive energy follow, and give the world a bright and hopeful image to admire.
“Where there are flowers, there is life.”

You know, I just felt the need to share this with you, even though I dont actually have anything to share other than words!! But anyway, my first product – Juju Chan’s TEXTURE Powder Styler just ended up in the goody bags at the Sundance Film Festival!!! Woo Hoo, I was sooo excited.
They were placed at The Fender Music Lodge where celebs go to hang out, drink, play guitar and pick up free goodies, not a bad life eh? So hopefully some of these celebs will take one of my products to try out and love it so much they talk about it.. wishful thinking : )
So Thank You to Jane at StyleZoneTV for making this all happen, even when I gave up, thinking I was too late, and Thanks to my friend Claudia for all her help acting as my right hand woman.
If I hear anything else I’ll let you know about it.

Here is my 2nd round of haircuts to show you from Dove Palmer, I have chosen another 10 fantastic looks for you to check out : )
Hairstyles by Leonardo Manetti
Found these looks in a magazine and thought they were really cute, The whole session was with the same girl but with a different look for each outfit. The looks were very ‘rocker chick’ meets ‘rocker billy’ look, Love it, Thanks Leonardo!

Dove Palmer is Creative Director for Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London, UK. He also ran the Masters Academy for them too and has made 3 DVD step by step videos as well helped in contributing at least 12 haircut pictures for the Academy Photo collection. I came across Dove’s work on Facebook and instantly LOVED the exquisite work done by him. Funnily enough Dove turned out to have the same mentor as I did back in the day. Stacey Broughton (also from Sassoons) has been his mentor since he went to work for Sassoon’s. I definitely spotted the Stacey traits in the haircuts.
Takeshi Kaneshiro:
Seems like there is a lot of lady fans out there so I couldn’t resist putting together my own collection of his hair and different look, personally I prefer him with his longer locks but hey, with this kind of cuteness, who cares, He can come anyway he wants : )
Here’s to keep you all happy for now, Enjoy!
The other week I spent a fun filled day working with some of the great staff at Hyphen Magazine (a non-profit magazine focusing on Asian-American topics, you can subscribe by following the link). What started as a simple article about me and my new JujuChan product written by Margot Seeto, then became more and then even more, ending up with a section about my top 5 Asian hair offenses, now, because pictures speak louder than words, we ended up doing a photo session to try to capture my looks.
Thanks to Andria Lo and Erica Jones (from Hyphen) who took this to the next level, who then introduced me to the photographer Patrick Gonzales Rafanan and his lovely assistant Lydia Ortiz, both from Soybaby. The make up artist on the shoot was Elaine Fujii who captured all the looks to go with the dreaded hairstyles, not an easy feat, I know. Also Thanks to Scott Klassen from Dekko salon who came along to help me with the hair, doing such a great job on our Taiwanese/Mall fringe look : )
It was an ultra fun shoot, I have never done a shoot where we needed to make sure everyone looked BAD.. quite hard I must say, difficult when your models put the bad wigs on and end up looking abit hip!! Not our idea, but we got there in the end..
Thanks to all our models from the shoot for having such a great sense of humor an allowing us to make them look bad and foolish, such great sports, so thumbs up to you all : )
Seanathan Chow, Ga Wa, Mary Ann Lumba and Tamera Enriguez.
Enjoy afew backstage shots from the day. The actual article is due out mid December so I cant wait.. Woo Hoo!
