Cool little video from BuzzFeed Eugene, not too sure about the long layers but other than that, thumbs up! Stylist David Dang…
Angelo Seminara
One of my absolute favorite stylists, Angelo Seminara who is Artistic Director for Davine’s Product Company. Those of you who follow me, know that I always try to post as many collections from Angelo as possible. I find his work to be positively inspiring, unique and ultra creative. Here is his Games Collection for you to check out.

‘Almost tribal in character, Angelo’s inspiration for this collection is underpinned by the tactile textures of the natural world: snakes shedding their skin, light casting diffused shapes through diaphanous fronds and leaves; fish scales, bird feathers, wood grains, slate, rock and marble striations. Combined or singular, the images capture nature’s strength in an enchanting, evocative way.’

Oscars 2015
I wasn’t too inspired tonight with the hair to write a full post about the Academy Awards this year. So instead I pulled the top 4 of my hair favorites. Although I have to say that Lady Gaga’s segment brought tears to my eyes as did John Legend and Common’s.
Rosamund Pike with her undercut and updo combo. Haircut by Tina Haukjaer Anderson.
Rita Ora looking fabulous, much better than her 3seconds on Fifty Shades of Grey.
Emma Stone, it really doesn’t matter what her hairs like really cos she’s so cute and gorgeous no matter what.
Viola Davis with her natural curls, flying under the radar, but I spotted her cool hair!
Pics from Just Jared and back pic from Tina Haukjaer Anderson.
I also should give a shout out to Kelly Osborne who always looks creative and unique for the Oscars..
My Favorite ‘50 Shades of Grey’ Character ~
I, like everyone else went to watch 50 shades of Grey last night ~ on opening night. Yes I read all the books and absolutely hated them. Which meant that I was pleasantly surprised that I did not vomit while watching this movie. I’m not here to add yet another review to the other thousands out there but I really wanted to draw attention to my favorite ‘character’ in the movie that caught my attention!
From the very beginning, Anastasia Steele’s fringe (bangs) had a life of its own, I couldn’t help but notice, it went short, and then longer and back to short again, up and down, choppy to straight, full to split, all within the 90 miles she drove from home to Seattle.
Not that I didn’t like them, in fact we (as in me and my Dekko hairdresser mates who went) were convinced clients would now be coming in asking for the Anastasia fringe. Yikes – which part? Dakota Johnson’s hairdresser Mark Townsend will be happy his client is the talk of the town, although he didn’t actually cut the fringe for the movie, sorry I cant give credit to whoever did do it.
But anyway, it must’ve been really really tough for the continuity team, I know how hard it is to keep a choppy fringe the same every time you cut it, let alone for every scene! Anyway, just for fun, here’s what I mean…
And in my humble opinion, If I were a client and wanted this fringe, I would take this picture in to show the stylist..
Jared Leto – Again
Plenty was written tonight about Jared Leto at the Golden Globe’s, Forget Man Buns they say, the next trend for men is the Man Braid!
Hey, but did no one but me notice how dark and wiggy his hairline was from the front? Of course I know its not a wig, I’m sure Jared and his hairline is as youthful as his face and body, but please Jared, hold off on that dark tint Luv’ its abit heavy looking. (Think John Travolta!) Other than that, gorgeous as usual, even with the Man Braid!
Golden Globes 2015 Hair
‘Downton Abbey’ certainly comes to my mind with this years Globes hair. I noticed there were a lot of waves going on, polished neat hair that shows the 20’s influence’s coming through. I have to say when it comes to Finger Waving, no one does it better than those hairstylists who coif the hair and wigs on Downton. To me, Hair dressing, especially finger waving is a special talent that less hairdressers are able to achieve. I am always amazed when I’m watching the hair on the show,‘kudos to those talented people.
With that in mind, here are some ‘Downton’ inspired looks that I loved. My top favorite is Jessica Chastain with her fabulous wavy one sided classic look. Others shown are Alison Williams, Ruth Wilson, Zosia Mamet, Diane Kruger and Amy Adams, all with their classy wavy hair.
Other styles of hair that I admired from tonight that stood out for me are – Rosamund Pike with her perfect Vidal Sassoon Bob cut by Tina Haukjaer Anderson , Sienna Miller with her razored Bob, Helen Mirren with her classic short hairstyle, Emily Blunt with here braided hair ‘do’, Kelly Osborne with her purple hawk, and just because she’s cute Emma Stone with her messy bob. I chose these because they are not the usual ‘Award’ show hairdo’s so always lovely to see.

Vanessa Hudgen’s newest look
Just keeping you updated with this young lady’s new look. Vanessa was spotted in Paris last week with her LOB (Long Bob) and changed her color to red, apparently (although you cant tell with her hat on) she has a red ombre look under there done by celebrity colorist Nikki Lee from Nine Zero One Salon. What do you all think?
The Real Star of Gone Girl ~ Rosamund Pike’s Bob
The latest ‘IT’ girl is wearing the latest haircut! Lets look no further than Tina Haukjaer Anderson, she should know a thing or two about it ~ she created it!
Rosamund Pike’s undercut bob shape has been the buzz of Hollywood ever since that fantastic thriller ‘Gone Girl’ came out last month, based on the novel by Gillian Flynn.
I would say if Ben Affleck hadn’t gone all full frontal on us, he would’ve got his thunder stolen by Rosamund and her ‘Tina’ bob.
While watching the movie, you can’t help but admire the razor sharp bob that was on the big screen, every movement Rosamund made, the hair swung with her. Even during the dramatic gory scene, her hair looked perfect! So, it does not surprise me to find out that, that haircut was done by a fellow Sassooner, Tina Haukjaer Anderson. Ah! of course, now it makes sense, Vidal Sassoon, ultimate master of bobs.
Tina works at Vidal Sassoon training School in Beverly Hills as Senior Creative Director. Her expertise was fully utilized when she was called upon to style all the hairstyles for her friend Rosamund Pike’s character Amy Dunne in the movie, including all the wigs.
Here’s abit of Tina’s insight about the hair (excerpt taken from Sassoon Academy)
– “The Gone Girl haircut is classic Sassoon technique with a modern spin,” explained Tina. “All textures can wear this cut – curly, fine, thick, wavy – as long as the cut is tailored and personalized.”
– “The director [David Fincher] requested a seductive bob, so I decided to accentuate Rosamund’s elegant neckline and jawline by keeping the bob short.”
Anyway for those of you who have seen the movie, you know exactly what I mean, and for those who have yet to see it – GO!! Its been a long, time since an actual haircut has made such an impact on women around the world, creating a frenzy of women wanting their hair cut off to the perfect bob. I applaud you Tina for bringing that classic look (with a twist) back to life.
