Dyson Hair Dryer
The internet is buzzing about the new Dyson Hairdryer at the moment, invented by Sir James Dyson, the British designer and engineer.
Excerpt taken from nytimes.com
‘Dyson’s long-awaited “silent” hair dryer, unveiled in April, is powered by a small, light motor that makes it quieter and more compact than current appliances
Dyson said there were 103 engineers involved in the creation of the Supersonic, which included the taming of over 1,010 miles of human hair tresses and 7,000 acoustic tests as teams tackled three core issues: noise, weight and speed.’
I have yet to try it, and have been waiting for the reviews to come in, I came across this little video which I thought was hilarious, and it certainly beats the video used to promote the dryer with a woman drying her hair carelessly while sat on a bed with a leather headboard! (like we all do dry our hair like that)
This video say ‘powerful enough to blow your lips open’ Haha!
Meanwhile, heres a guide of the Best hair Dryers in 2017 as reviewed by Reviews.com

Moody Blues by Kieran Tudor
Moody Blues Collection extract taken from Behind The Chair:
‘Forget about rigidity, structure, formalism and order. Here we have a slouchy, chic, mix-and-match vibe. Somehow still proper, but with huge dollops of innovation and a fresh take on the standard beehive, blunt bob, shag and long layers. All doused in the dusky light of a midwinter afternoon – that time of exquisite anticipation between day and night.’
Hair by Kieran Tudor from D&J Ambrose, Middlesex, UK (Shortlisted for British Hairdressing Awards London, Hairdresser of the Year.

My Pick – Golden Globes 2016
Every year I watch the red carpet arrivals to see if anyone excites me with their hairstyle enough for me to want to write about it.
This year was another fairly basic show with hair that was nice, pretty, and feminine with the undo’s and downdo’s etc. but to me, nothing too spectacular. Maybe its because Award’s hair is no longer as cool or impressive as it used to be, this year there was no Jennifer Lawrence with her short messy do, or Rosamund Pike with her undercut bob or Charlize Theron with her gorgeous pixie.
But if I had to pick one that stood out to me tonight I would have to choose Rooney Mara with her huge rocker braid. A slight mix of punk with classic.. very stunning!
Thanks to Just Jared for having these great pictures of her hair, not an easy task to find pictures of the back of celebs heads…
Veil Collection by Angelo Seminara
My favorite stylist, produces the best work ever! Another collection of his to show you..

‘Angelo Seminara has won HJ’s British Hairdresser of the Year on three separate occasions, earning worldwide fame for his breathtaking imagery and intricate colour work in the process. The Italian-born super stylist started his career at Trevor Sorbie, where he spent 16 years honing his skills. He continues to work on catwalk shoots and editorial campaigns across the globe, as well as creating imagery and developing products in his role as artistic director for Davines.

Men’s Stuff!
Cool stark strong images for men’s hair by Lucas Dowling. Photo’s taken by Nicole Corbett. Photos from Hairdresser’s Journal UK.
Excerpt from Behind The Chair:
‘Lucas Dowling of Mieka Hairdressing in Australia took home the win for the 2013 Australian Hair Fashion Awards Men’s Hairdresser of the Year, continuing Mieka Hairdressing’s record as one of Australia’s most highly-awarded salons.
The inspiration for Lucas’s collection comes from the “Teddy Boy”—a British sub-culture of the 1950s. Dandy represents the style of the “dandies” from the Edwardian period; they inspired the “Teds” and fueled the style of American rock ‘n’ roll since its birth in the ’50s. The hair adopts a progressive masculine feel including precision barbering, heavy fringes through to natural curls and quiffs, which are embellished by textured and smooth finishes.’
