My Pick – Green

I will always remember being told when I lived in Hong Kong that wearing/having green in or on your hair means that you are a ‘lady of the night’ (their words not mine) Since then I’ve always been conscious not to have green in my hair, whether it was extensions (which I had then) or even flowers while living in Asia.

But, fast forward 20years and with all these gorgeous green hair pictures floating around, how can we even resist! Maybe we should just be ‘ladies of the night’ even if for a short stint..could be quite interesting!

Nasty Gal ~ Hair

If your looking for some inspiration on street hair, look no further than the Nasty Gal website. Quite often I find myself browsing this site as I admire their choice of models and hair. This post shows the great use of hair piece/extensions. The haircut by  itself is strong and dramatic with the bold choppy fringe and cut off sides, but with the added combination of the longer razored layers, it creates an overall softer look.

Then as you can see, with the addition of the extensions throughout the back the haircut can be transformed into a totally different feel and look.

It shows us with abit of creativity we can quite easily change our looks out on a daily basis.

Fancy Fishtails…

I’ve been meaning to pull up more fishtails and braids for you all, but kept getting distracted from the fishtails. Anyway here’s a start, I love these messy looks, just right up my alley. I hope one day I can get myself organized enough to make some ‘how to’ videos of how to get these great looks.. sigh, maybe one day.

Hair Twister

Walked into H&M the other day and came across this contraption for the hair. We’ve all seen and played with the round donut types but this one is a simple long sponge twister, perfect for anyone who wants a bun at the nape of the neck.

Maybe you’ve all seen and played with this one too, I think its just me who’s abit out of touch with what’s selling out there nowadays but here it is for anyone interested..
