Quite extraordinary talent I would say to be able to mold the hair or whatever medium was used to create these hats to look like hair. Hairstylist Olivier Chomienne was the talent behind these creations..
What do you think? Likey or No likey?
I wanted to show you some fabulous images from photographer Terry Tsiolis for an article ‘Girls on Top’. Here we are featuring Tao Okamoto, Liu Wen, Shu Pei and Fei Fei, 4 of the top Asian models working today.
To my first real boss, a legend who inspired and influenced many many hairdressers by revolutionizing the way we cut hair… Thank You for your vision and passing it down to the rest of the family to develop and create lives that have been just as creative as you were. My life as a haircutter would not have been as fulfilling without your inspirational existence on this planet!
RIP Vidal, you will never be forgotten.
Thanks Stephanie for the pic : )
Ok now, I know we all love long hair and we all get abit reluctant to cut it off, but when are we too old and how long is too long? I ask myself this quite often as time goes by…
Now here is a lady from Taiyuan, China. Ni Linmei is 55 years old and hasn’t had a haircut in 14years, Her hair is 8foot long!!! (Which is longer than she is) so in order to measure her hair she has to stand on a chair! Do you think this look is attractive, youthful or anything at all?
So anyway, I have to admit I haven’t had a proper haircut in the back for about 6years although its nowhere near 8foot and I doubt whether I could ever get that long, so I think I’ve got afew more years to go yet. But dear friends…. if I end up looking like this please someone tell me to get a bloody haircut!!! Thanks!

Again, I have to apologize for not knowing who did the work for this hairstyle, but I chose it for its very creative cut and color work. similar to another one I posted the precision work with the color is fantastic (although I hope the work was not touched up in Photoshop afterwards cos you just never know nowadays)
Anyhoo, fabulous strong defined shape, well done to whoever did this!
I found this a while back but only just got round to showing you all. The hair is so cute and ‘Betty Boop-ish’, I love it! I think I also found out the hair was done by someone I used to work with back in my London Sassoon Days – Art Director Sandy Hullett.
Hope I got that detail correct, if so Sandy, well done, it must’ve been so hard to get all the hair looking so perfect but you jolly well did.
Thanks for the inspiration..
Had to share this with you all, only in Japan eh? Imagine being able to order a replica clone doll of yourself? Right, you’ve always wanted there to be 2 of you? So now its possible!
Japanese companies has been cloning for years but in 2010, Hiroshi Ishiguro, a University professor unveiled a female android named Geminoid F, the android was modeled from a young lady in her 20’s, he has come up with a way to replicate your looks, smiles, frowns, nods and responds to human touch, abit scary isn’t it?
These androids are being tested right now for future receptionists in hospitals and offices, although I have to say I have seen very similar life like sex dolls too. I hope they don’t make them soon to replace hairdressers!!
Anyway, these dolls come at a hefty price of around $110,000 to $225,000 so I reckon you should start saving if you want one of these…
Here’s a video showing the moves and expressions on this scary life like doll…
So here I was browsing online and I came across this picture from Refinery29 (a cool website for fashion) and they were showing a fashion show by Martine Rose at the London Fashion Week. The men had some hair wraps going on, which I found even more hilarious because a year ago I was messing around with my hair and did myself a hair wrap too…
Look how similar they are : ) Just goes to show that I am WAY ahead of fashion.. Hahaha!!
